6 FUN INDOOR ACTIVITIES TO DO WITH CHILDREN

Rain got you cooped up inside again? Looking for fun activities for the kids ? Here are some ideas for indoor fun for kids that will help them get more energy and create happy memories.

1.Drawing on scratch paper notebook

Nothing is more funny than drawing on a scratch paper notebook. Scratch painting has changed the process of drawing the cumbersome prints in the past, so that the children's attention is fully focused on the process of creation. It makes a big difference in stimulating their creativity and imagination. 

2.Making a card with washi tape

Everyone loves to receive a personal card in the post these days, as is such a rarity! This would be a special gift for grandparents or even cousins. Use stamps, washi tape, glitter, paints and create a card to send to their friends. Moreover it is also a good opportunity for older children to practice their handwriting too!

3.Make some music

Get all your instruments out or make some cheap versions, like kitchen utensils including the pots, wooden spoons, tins,and spatula to make some music. Enjoy the relaxing time and maybe your kid is the next Beethoven.

4.Bake a cake

Most kids love to bake, but seldom has the opptunity to learn and exercise it.  You can teach them to make some easy baking. Don't worry if you don't know how to do it, just search some easy-do recipes on the internet and learn with your kids. Then what you get is not just a tasty cake, the experience and happy memory during baking will be much precious for you and the kid.

5.Read a book

Reading is an interesting thing. Your local library is a great resource for indoor activities, in which you can enjoy reading the whole afternoon. After reading, you can hold a small seminar and share your different stories. 

6.Create a moving story

This is an ideal craft for an older kid – all you need is a drawing pad, and pencil. Explain how the book works, that you draw an image in the same corner of the book on each page, and that each image changes only slightly. Then you flip through the pages and watch their character “start to move”.

If possible, spend more time with the kids and play activities with them. You will find much fun in this, and your kids will learn a lot from this.
